Guitars

We make Classical and Steel String Acoustic guitars.

Our instruments are completely hand crafted and made using the finest materials. We use well seasoned tonewoods, and also try to use timber that has been grown in forests that  are managed  and replanted, to lessen the impact that de-forestation has on the environment.  All woods are solid -  we don't use plywood and any veneers are only used in decorative purflings and bindings.

We rely on the natural beauty and grain of the timber to "adorn" our guitars, ornamentation is kept to a minimum. Our guitars tend to be constructed for purity and depth of tone, and can be played in a concert hall or the comfort of your living room.

Steel string guitars are built using a double "X" brace with strong Sitka spruce soundboards. Our classical guitars are based on a traditional "fan" bracing with variations, classical soundboards are usually European Spruce or Cedar.

Finish is either a high gloss lacquer or the more traditional French polish for classical guitars.

Guitars are priced from £1500
For custom made guitars a deposit of 25% is required on placing an order. At this time you will be told the full price, which will not change before your guitar is ready, and you will be given a completion time. The balance is payable upon completion of the guitar, which can then be collected or shipped to you at your expense.
